Biomedkhim was established in 1994 by scientists from the Institute of Biology of the Ufa Scientific Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The enterprise combines academic research and manufacturing and develops biological products for industrial, agricultural, environmental, and private applications. Its catalogue includes Lenoil biological oil degraders, biological agents for industrial and household wastewater, preparations for manure and organic-waste processing, biological fertilizers, biofungicides, beta-cyclodextrin production technology, bacterial polysaccharides, biological treatment of petroleum-contaminated ship wastewater, and biological leaching technologies for non-ferrous metals.
